Discover the most fascinating attractions of the north!

Discover some of the most spectacular attractions in the north of Lanzarote with this fascinating excursion dedicated to the most iconic works of the local artist César Manrique. The tour heads towards the north of the island, but before reaching the famous volcanic caves we will make some unmissable panoramic stops.

The first stop will be at the Mirador de Las Nieves, from where you can admire a spectacular view of the island of La Graciosa and the Chinijo Archipelago. Continuing towards the picturesque village of Haría, we will pass by the majestic Volcán de la Corona, the volcano that created the famous lava tunnels that today host Cueva de los Verdes and Jameos del Agua. Before reaching the caves, we will stop to enjoy the panoramic view of the suggestive Valley of the Thousand Palms that surrounds the village.

The first visit will be to the extraordinary Cueva de los Verdes, one of the longest lava tunnels in the world. This incredible natural environment, formed by the eruptions of Volcán de la Corona, offers the sensation of entering the depths of the Earth. The evocative atmosphere, the shapes of the volcanic rock and the carefully designed lighting make this visit a unique and unforgettable experience.

Afterwards we will visit Jameos del Agua, the first great work created by César Manrique and one of the most iconic places on the island. This extraordinary space was formed by the collapse of the roof of a volcanic tunnel created by the lava of Volcán de la Corona. The tunnel extends for about 6 km, of which at least 1.5 km run under the Atlantic Ocean.

At the entrance you will be welcomed by a small Jameo decorated with large ferns and a characteristic café perfectly integrated with the natural environment. Inside the lagoon lives a species unique in the world: the tiny endemic crab Munidopsis Polimorpha, blind, albino and less than one centimeter long.

Continuing along stone stairways and gardens designed by Manrique, you will reach the large Jameo with a spectacular turquoise pool surrounded by palm trees and cacti, one of the most photographed corners of Lanzarote. A little further on is the natural auditorium, a magical place where concerts and events are held. At the end of the visit we will return to the hotels.

⚠️ Help us protect this natural environment: it is strictly forbidden to throw coins or objects into the internal lagoon or to swim in it.
