LAND AND TABLE (WEDNESDAY)

Between Craters and Timeless Villages!

Some people are happy with a seaside photo; others want to truly feel the island beneath their feet. The Land & Table Tour is designed for the latter—for those who love to explore with curiosity, appreciate the silence of the mountains, wander through stone-built villages, and end up in front of a great meal or a glass of wine.

The day begins between 8:00 and 9:00 a.m., with pick-up directly from your accommodation. The journey starts gently climbing inland, with the first stop at the Astronomical Mirador—a panoramic viewpoint offering a complete reading of the landscape, with deep valleys and horizons that seem made to be unforgettable.

You’ll then descend into the heart of one of the island’s most picturesque villages: Fataga, where white houses line a small green canyon. This is a Gran Canaria frozen in time, still preserving the flavor of slow living.

The ascent continues to Roque Bentayga, an imposing rock formation steeped in ancient spirituality and linked to the rituals of the island’s aboriginal people. The view from here is truly unforgettable. Just a bit further on lies Tejeda, a mountain village perched among almond trees and Canary pines. Here, houses seem suspended along the crater walls, and every corner feels like a ready-made postcard.

We continue to the highest village on Gran Canaria, where we stop for lunch at a traditional restaurant with panoramic views. The dishes speak the simple, honest language of Canarian tradition.

In the afternoon, the road turns greener, winding through pine forests to the Mirador de los Pinos de Gáldar—a little-known yet spectacular viewpoint offering an incredible view over the northern part of the island.

The day concludes with a truly memorable experience: a visit to a local winery nestled among vineyards and coffee plantations, in the heart of a fertile, lush valley. We’ll discover the production process, stroll among fruit trees, and of course finish with a tasting of local wines and products. Everything is included—no extras, just the pleasure of enjoying the moment.

Return is scheduled around 7:00 p.m., back to your accommodation. An intense yet relaxed day, with landscapes that change at every turn, ancient stories, and flavors that linger on the palate… and in your memory.
