Discover the work of a genius with us!

This excursion is dedicated to exploring the most extraordinary creations of César Manrique, the artist who transformed Lanzarote by perfectly integrating art, architecture, and volcanic nature. The tour begins in the heart of the island with a visit to the Monumento al Campesino, where Manrique turned a simple quarry into a tribute to local agricultural traditions and culture.

We will then continue through the ancient capital Teguise and into the northern valleys of the island. Along the way, we will make a panoramic stop where you can admire the spectacular Valle de las Mil Palmeras, the Volcán de la Corona, and the coastline dotted with small villages.

We will pass through the characteristic village of Haría to reach one of the island’s most iconic viewpoints: the Mirador del Río, designed by Manrique himself. From here, you can enjoy an extraordinary view of La Graciosa Island and the Chinijo Archipelago.

Descending along the slopes of Volcán de la Corona, we will visit one of the island’s most impressive natural wonders: the famous Jameos del Agua, where volcanic nature meets Manrique’s artistic vision.

The tour continues with a visit to the wonderful Jardín de Cactus, the last work completed by the artist on the island, an incredible garden hosting hundreds of cactus species from around the world.

To conclude the day, we will visit the Fundación César Manrique, the house where the artist lived and found inspiration. The residence is built directly inside solidified lava bubbles and is perfectly integrated into the surrounding volcanic landscape.

At the end of the visit, return to the hotel. A lunch stop is included along the route (not included in the price).
